Name: IslandCounty_ConservationEasements

Display Field: Site_Name

Type: Feature Layer

Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolygon

Description: This feature class is primarily utilized by the Assessor’s Office, the Planning and Community Development Department and other departments as a reference. It is expected that this feature class will be used to verify easement boundaries, building restrictions and as a connection to the original document through imbedded links. The Assessor’s office tracks the conservation easement locations in order to determine if the presence of the designated restrictions impact the assessed value of a property. This layer of conservation easements is not an exhaustive list, those known easements have been mapped and it is possible that conservation easements have been excluded due to missing documentation. Tracking easements recorded in the Auditor’s office will continue and updates will occur as needed.
