Description: שכבה ארצית נקודתית של הישובים בישראל. מצבת הישובים כוללת את כל הישובים עד סוף שנת 2023. השכבה כוללת את הישוב החדש תל ציון. מצבת הישובים כוללת 1229 ישובים ו – 55 מוקדי תעסוקה. מוקדי התעסוקה קישון (1751) ושורק (1736) הוסרו מהרשימה. השכבה אינה מכילה את השבטים הבדואים ומחנות הצבא. השכבה נוצרה בתחום ממ"ג מקובץ המתקבל מגף דמוגרפיה. חישוב נקודת ציון הישוב בוצע ע"י חישוב של מרכז כובד מבונה בכל ישוב, הנמצא בתוך גבולות השיפוט המותאמים בלמ"ס, באמצעות שכבת הרצף המתקבלת ממשרד הפנים. גובה הישוב מייצג גובה ממוצע ביחס לגובה פני הים. הוא נקבע לפי ממוצע גבהים רסטרי של ערכי הגובה, המצויים בתוך גבול השיפוט של הישוב. השכבה מיועדת להיות שכבה נושאת למידע המפורסם ע"י הלשכה המרכזית לסטטיסטיקה ברמת ישובים
