Service Description: A total of 365 manholes were field located between 8-19-2014 and 7-14-2015 on Appalachian State University campus. Many of the points have a photo of the outside of the lid to reference location the and another photo inside the structure.

8/19/2021 Update Stadium area using JW Hamptons Survey.
6/9/2021 These features at App State Water Plant moved to new Backwash feature class that will live in water feature dataset.
5/30/2019 Rivers Street paving may affect access it appears they are putting metal covers over accesses to manholes hopefully we will get the data of what NC dot has done.
7/11/2018 This, feature class was updated with a 2017 survey. The Old High School property was surveyed by Timothy W. Caldwell License number L-5232, September 27, 2017, Mattern & Crag Engineers and Surveyors. Data is considered 90% accurate, and data was collected between 8/ 5-18 / 2017. All coordinates are based on NCGS NAD/83/ 2011 and all elevations are based on NAVD 88.
4/11/2018 These features have been updated using a DWG. provided by Davis, Martin and Powell survey, made available 1/3/2018.6415 OLD PLANK RD, HIGH POINT, NC 27265

8/1/2017, 362 of the 363 points were attached to each of the points all photos came from Rochester’s many folders and, a python script was run to place all images into an organized folder. It appears some of the images have been used for multiple locations, which is not possible, two examples: the stadium home side, and the Octagon. Also I noticed today that there are two versions of sanitary manholes given to us from Rochester. I have been using and updating the version shared with me from Art Rex, that is now part of the in house SDE database and is the most up to date. The current web map hosted by Rochester is using the shapefiles they shared with NRLP, which was later shared with me. Before my edits the feature class from Art contained more points than the shapefile from NRLP.
3/6/2017 Editor Tracker has been added to this feature class. All of the attributes have been appropriately updated and meaningless columns omitted. However, this is a work in progress.
A manhole is a hole, usually with a cover, through which a person may enter a sewer to preform maintenance.
