4/11/2022, I finished importing the fieldwork into the SDE at University Village. University Village has gone from overhead power to underground power. The work started the Summer of 2021 and completed Spring of 2022. I went out on 4/4/2022 and GPS the above ground infrastructure. The receiver in good sky was getting better than an inch accuracy; however, much of this neighborhood has thick evergreen tree cover. Robert Holder and Mike Stamey held the GPS receiver to speed up the collection process. The powerlines are drawn connecting the collected points unless it was noticed that trenching was done. I also used a model given to me by Matt Makdad. Here Is a link to the entire project.
8/31/2021 Updated Forest Hill Area using GPS and a site visit 8/23/2021, further attribution will come later. The GPS worked pretty good in most areas struggled in dense canopy setting.
8/23/2021 Updated Stadium P3 area using a .dwg supplied by JW Hampton given to me by Dainel Gryder.
10/20/2020 Update Major
Fiber and electrical are being installed October 2020 at ASU Water Plant. While the ditches are open I collected images and exact location with a high accuracy GPS, EOS Arrow Gold the afternoon of 10/14/2020. The GPS worked very well in open sky, accuracy .2-.4 of an Inch; however, beside structures and under tree canopy the accuracy fell to around 6 feet After this data is imported into the GIS Portal attribution will follow from Facilities Electrical Department and Tec Support. While I was there I also collected obvious above ground structure. See below email string:

Eddie,
ASU Electrical shop has been installing some infrastructure at the Water Plant on Rainbow Trail for some security cameras I believe. They are in the process of backfilling the trenches now.
We thought you might want to GIS those ditches for future reference. If you could do it this week while digging is fresh would be best.
Edward HyleWed, Oct 14, 2:06 PM (21 hours ago)Sure, when do you need me come by, and what am I looking at?
Michael GreeneWed, Oct 14, 2:22 PM (20 hours ago)to me
We are putting 2-1" PVC from entrance gate all the way around the building to the exit gate for security cameras. There is a total of about 650' of ditch. It is open as of today but we will be backfilling tomorrow. If possible, it would be best to come out early in the morning tomorrow. Call me at (828)964-1698. I will have to open the gate to let you in if you are before 8:00. Let me know if you have any questions.

I would like to see it open I can come by in a bit.

I think anytime would work. You may want to contact Michael Greene (copied in this email) for more details as they are actually doing the work.

Hello all,
I have gotten all of the ditches located and photographed as needed. Please give me a day or so to get is data into the GIS Portal to be viewed, then we can further attribute the data further.
Thanks,
Eddie

10-4. Thanks Eddie
7/9/2018 This, feature class was updated with a 2017 survey. The Old High School property was surveyed by Timothy W. Caldwell License number L-5232, September 27, 2017, Mattern & Crag Engineers and Surveyors. Data is considered 90% accurate, and data was collected between 8/ 5-18 / 2017. All coordinates are based on NCGS NAD/83/ 2011 and all elevations are based on NAVD 88.
4/17/2018 Updated by NRLP Staff
10/2/2017 Edward Hyle updated Secondary Underground power lines, now need help to further clean feature class from NRLP and Physical Plant Electrical Shop. There are now only 390 lines. There were many many segments overlaying and small pieces of lines.
9/28/2017 Edward Hyle, Started deleting duplicate lines, small segments, and drawing longer complete lines.
9/27/2017 Met with Duane Reese in Sanford Mall today and he showed me were the WIFI fiber and one underground secondary power line was located. The electric power line is (2) 120 volt circuits #10 THHN. The fiber in the middle of the Mall is 6-strand fiber that runs to the electrical manhole and goes into IG Greer. The other WIFI connected on all buildings is CAT 5 cable. Explanation two 1-inch conduits go through the middle of the mall depth unknown. A ¾-inch conduit goes from the Sternberg to a manhole in the wide walk then to IG Greer. Collector was used for geolocation with images.
8/22/2017 Mainly ASU Power lines Ready for editing.
3/6/2017 Editor Tracker has been added to this feature class. All of the attributes have been appropriately updated and meaningless columns omitted. However, this is a work in progress.
Underground power lines are any type of power line that resides underground instead of above ground. They may consist of primary or secondary power. In this dataset there are 2268 lines totaling 147,394 feet. Data about how and when these lines were geolocated is not available. The fid column is listed as 0, and nothing is listed in the RefName column. There are only 18 entries in the elevation column. The LineWt column is 25, for all but 2 are 0, and the Color column is CAD 10, for all but 2 that are CAD 0. The number 10 in CAD represents a bright red color, while 0 represents the color black. The Entity column consists of, no name or blank lines “”, 2DPolyline, Line, LWPolyline, and Solid lines. There are 2 blank lines with a total length of 151 feet, 1185 2DPolyline lines totaling 52,993 feet, 35 Line lines totaling 1511 feet, 1045 LWPolyline lines totaling 92,730 feet, and 1 Solid line totaling 10 feet. There is also variability in the Layer and Linetype columns and they are: In the Layer column there are 2 blank lines “”, color 0, Linetype, EXISTING_UNDERGROUND_ELECTRICAL_PRIMARY, and total length 151 feet. In the Layer Column, S--F-POW-LINE-APPOX there are 7 lines with a Linetype of PHANTOM2, with a total length of 1361 feet. In the Layer column, S--F-POW-PRIMARY there are 965 lines with a Linetype of EXISTING_UNDERGROUND_ELECTRICAL_PRIMARY, with a total length of 66,502 feet. In the Layer Column, S--F-POW-SECONDARY there are 1294 lines with a Linetype of EXISTING_UNDERGROUND_ELECTRICAL with a total length of 79,381 feet. There are also 7 types of circuits in this dataset, they are: blank “”, 201, 202, 203, 205, 206, and 207. In the Circuit column there are 2032 lines that have no entry in the Circuit column, with a total length of 111,212 feet, and the line types consists of PHANTOM2, EXISTING_UNDERGROUND_ELECTRICAL_PRIMARY, and EXISTING_UNDERGROUND_ELECTRICAL. Circuit 201 has 123 lines, line types of, EXISTING_UNDERGROUND_ELECTRICAL, EXISTING_UNDERGROUND_ELECTRICAL_PRIMARY, and PHANTOM2, and a total length of 16,256 feet. Circuit 202 has 29 lines, line types of, EXISTING_UNDERGROUND_ELECTRICAL, EXISTING_UNDERGROUND_ELECTRICAL_PRIMARY, and a total length of 8208 feet. Circuit 203 has 12 lines, the line types consist of, EXISTING_UNDERGROUND_ELECTRICAL, S--F-POW-PRIMARY, and a total length of 2686 feet. Circuit 205 has 33 lines, the line types consist of EXISTING_UNDERGROUND_ELECTRICAL, EXISTING_UNDERGROUND_ELECTRICAL_PRIMARY, and a total length of 3358 feet. Circuit 206 has 24 lines, the line types consist of EXISTING_UNDERGROUND_ELECTRICAL, EXISTING_UNDERGROUND_ELECTRICAL_PRIMARY, and a total length of 3252 feet. Circuit 207 has 15 lines, a line type of EXISTING_UNDERGROUND_ELECTRICAL_PRIMARY, and a total length of 2423 feet.
