Description:

4/11/2022, I finished importing the fieldwork into the SDE at University Village. University Village has gone from overhead power to underground power. The work started the Summer of 2021 and completed Spring of 2022. I went out on 4/4/2022 and GPS the above ground infrastructure. The receiver in good sky was getting better than an inch accuracy; however, much of this neighborhood has thick evergreen tree cover. Robert Holder and Mike Stamey held the GPS receiver to speed up the collection process. The powerlines are drawn connecting the collected points unless it was noticed that trenching was done. I also used a model given to me by Matt Makdad. Here Is a link to the entire project.

8/31/2021 Updated Forest Hill Area using GPS and a site visit 8/23/2021, further attribution will come later. The GPS worked pretty good in most areas struggled in dense canopy setting.

8/23/2021 Updated Stadium P3 area using a .dwg supplied by JW Hampton given to me by Dainel Gryder.

9/10/2018 Installed a primary power line behind Bowie waiting for survey, Line is approximate using photography and a pesron who installed it.

7/9/2018 This, feature class was updated with a 2017 survey. The Old High School property was surveyed by Timothy W. Caldwell License number L-5232, September 27, 2017, Mattern & Crag Engineers and Surveyors. Data is considered 90% accurate, and data was collected between 8/ 5-18 / 2017. All coordinates are based on NCGS NAD/83/ 2011 and all elevations are based on NAVD 88.

4/17/2018 Updated by NRLP Staff

10/2/2017 Edward Hyle updated ASU Primary Underground power lines, now need help to further clean feature class from NRLP. I removed artifacts and segmented lines, line segments in a series were linked together.

9/28/2017 Edward Hyle, Started deleting duplicate lines, small segments, and drawing longer complete lines.

8/22/2017 Mainly ASU Power lines Ready for editing.

3/6/2017 Editor Tracker has been added to this feature class. All of the attributes have been appropriately updated and meaningless columns omitted. However, this is a work in progress.

Primary power is the transmission of medium voltage between 2kV and 35kV to a transformer, where the voltage is then stepped down so that it can be consumed by residential and commercial customers. This data set consist of 234 polylines representing 6 different circuits. It is not shown how and when this data was collected. The line weight for each line is 25 with a color of 10, which is a bright red in CAD. The RefName column is left blank, and the elevation column has only 6 entries. The circuits consist of 201, 202, 203, 205, 206, 207. Circuit 201 consist of 121 lines with a length of 16255 feet. Circuit 202 consist of 29 lines with a length of 8208 feet. Circuit 203 consist of 12 lines with a length of 2686 feet. Circuit 205 consist of 33 lines with a length of 3447 feet. Circuit 206 consist of 24 lines with a length of 3252 feet. Circuit 207 consist of 15 lines with a length of 2423 feet.
