Description: 8/19/2021 Update Stadium area using JW Hampton Survey. 8/4/2021 Updated Around NRLP using a survey Moseley Architects, (704) 540- 3755 Cadd Project 3335, May 10, 2013 since it matched pretty close with the Town of Boone GIS; however, should be QC by Facilities.6/9/2021 These features at App State Water Plant moved to new Backwash feature class that will live in water feature dataset. 8/7/2019 I looked at the new P3 sewer line the contractor, (Iron Mountain), successfully bored underneath the new steam line along Jack Branch drive. It is headed to building 200. Ted LeJeune lejeuneth@appstate.edu(828) 262-6579, said we will get a great finished product of all infrastructure with P3, once construction is completed, but he would call me if I need to come and GPS anything in house.7/11/2018 This, feature class was updated with a 2017 survey. The Old High School property was surveyed by Timothy W. Caldwell License number L-5232, September 27, 2017, Mattern & Crag Engineers and Surveyors. Data is considered 90% accurate, and data was collected between 8/ 5-18 / 2017. All coordinates are based on NCGS NAD/83/ 2011 and all elevations are based on NAVD 88. 4/11/2018 These features have been updated using a DWG. provided by Davis, Martin and Powell survey, made available 1/3/2018.6415 OLD PLANK RD, HIGH POINT, NC 27265(336) 886-4821 | WWW.DMP-INC.COM | LICENSE: F-0245. The DWG was layered out by NRLP mapping department.8/14/2017 Rochester's PDF's and Videos were attached to the CCTV surveyed Sewer polyline lines. The largest video would not copy over. It was decided that all videos shall be hosted elsewhere on ASU’s network and attached via URL. All sewer videos have been placed in a single folder for easy attaching in the future. 7/25/2017 The Sewer Line CCTV Inspection feature class data has been added to the Gravity Sewer Line by Ownership feature class so there is no need to import the Sewer Line CCTV feature class into the SDE database. 3/3/2017 Editor Tracker has been added to this feature class. All of the attributes have been appropriately updated and meaningless columns omitted. However, this is a work in progress.A sanitary sewer is an underground carriage system, specifically for transporting sewage from houses and commercial buildings through a network of pipes for treatment and proper disposal. Appalachian State University maintains its own gravity sewer system which is tied into the Town of Boone’s sewer system where the sewage is properly treated and disposed of. The pipes range in size from 4”, 6”, 8” 12”, 15”,18”,24”, and 30” inside diameter, (check with the manufacturer for verification); however, many of the pipes are listed 0” meaning size is undetermined. The prominent materials that the sewer lines are made of are VCP, DIP, PVC, RCP, and CIP. (VCP), vitrified clay pipe is pipe made from a blend of clay and shale that has been subjected to high temperature to achieve vitrification, a process which results in a hard, inert ceramic pipe. (DIP), Ductile iron pipe is a pipe made of ductile iron used to manufacture the pipe is characterized by the spheroidal or nodular nature of the graphite within the iron. (PVC), Polyvinyl chloride, more correctly but unusually (polyvinyl chloride), is a widely produced synthetic plastic polymer, after polyethylene and polypropylene. (RCP) or reinforced concrete pipe is the most durable and longest-lasting pipe available for underground usage it can last more than 100 years. CIP more commonly known as (CIPP), cured in place pipe is a joint less, seamless, pipe-within-a-pipe with the capability to rehabilitate pipes ranging in diameter from 0.1–2.8 meter (4"–110"). A resin-saturated felt tube made of polyester, fiberglass cloth or a number of other materials suitable for resin impregnation, is inverted or pulled into a damaged pipe. In this dataset Appalachian State University maintains 178 lines equaling 20308’. 119 of those lines where field located while 59 were approximated. The number and size of the pipes are: 31, 0”, 3, 4”,11, 6”, 97, 8”, 10,10”, 25, 12” and 1, 18”. The attribute column videoed_ shows eight lines were videoed 169 were not and one had no name. There are also extra columns in the attribute table video_1 and video_2 which makes for confusing analysis. The different sewer pipe materials and number used are as follows: CIP 1, DIP 62, PVC 20, RCP 2, VCP 62, other 31. In this dataset the Town of Boone maintains 168 lines totaling 26131’. 126 of those lines were field located and 42 of those lines were approximated. The number and size of the pipes are: 22, 0”, 10, 6”, 70, 8”, 6,10”, 29, 12”, 4, 15”, 10, 18”, 3, 24”, 14, 30”. located Data collected unknown. The attribute column videoed_ shows five lines were located and 163 were not. None of the Town of Boone sewer lines were videoed. The different sewer pipe materials and number used are as follows: DIP 70, PVC 18, RCP 20, VCP 33, other 27. One line near Founders Hall also has no ownership.3/6/2017 Editor Tracker has been added to this feature class. All of the attributes have been appropriately updated and meaningless columns omitted. However, this is a work in progress.Six lengths of pipe were robotically inspected using CCTV (closed-circuit television) technology. The inside diameters ranged from 0”, 8”, and 12”. The attribute table of FID 5 seems to be incomplete since there is no length and the diameter is 0”. These inspections were preformed 7-14-2015 according to the video footage. The inspected pipes consisted of VCP, 3, DIP, 2, and one is blank. (VCP) vitrified clay pipe is pipe made from a blend of clay and shale that has been subjected to high temperature to achieve vitrification, a process which results in a hard, inert ceramic pipe. (DIP) Ductile iron pipe is a pipe made of ductile iron used to manufacture the pipe is characterized by the spheroidal or nodular nature of the graphite within the iron. The accuracy is listed as approximate and field located. The total length of pipe inspected is 568’.Woodard & Curran, Rochester & Associates, Inc.
