Under CA SB 9, a parcel must be wholly located within a Census Urbanized Area (CUA). This layer represents parcels that overlap the 2020 CUA and have one of the following Santa Clara County zoning designations: A1, R1, R1E, R1S, RHS, or RR, excluding the -h1 historic overlay. A parcel must be further evaluated for farmland soils, fire hazards, seismic hazards, etc. by a County planner before the parcel is deemed eligible.
