Description: August 2, 2011These data were downloaded from the National Register of Historic Places:http://nrhp.focus.nps.gov/natreg/docs/Download.htmlThey were downloaded as a KML file from the West Region, then converted into the geodatabase using ArcMap Tools. Data was reprojected, and points were selected within 5 miles of Santa Clara County boundary, since it seems that some points close to the county boundary might be off and wanted to get all points within the County. Several fields were deleted which seemed unnecessary and KML specific. The website page describes the data thusly:Google Earth layers from properties listed on the National Register are divided by region of the country as determined by the Census. To use a layer, make sure you have Google Earth installed on your machine and then download the layer(s) of interest. The information represented here is far from perfect but you may find this a useful tool. While we have required geographic coordinates since the program began in 1966, most of the building locations have been geocoded through a project undertaken with TeleAtlas which generally provided the most accurate locations (these have a "1" in the geocode match field). Locations that could not be geocoded, were plotted from the existing points in the database. Centroids have been computed where we had polygon data--typically historic districts. The address information clarifies the district boundaries. Listed properties with sensitive locations, typically archeological sites, are not shown here. As compared to the coordinate data in spatial.mdb, the Google Earth layers are more accurate but, given the time-consuming nature of the conversion process, are not as up-to-date and do not provide polygon information. Information is current through the beginning of 2007. This information can also be transferred to GIS files with the appropriate utility.Midwest RegionNortheast RegionSouth RegionTerritories RegionWest Region
Description: August 2, 2011These data were exported from the Historic Resources Database maintained by Priya. According to the database, there were a total of 425 records, but only 364 made the join, as several APN fields were blank or had non valid APNs in them. After the join to the parcel layer, these parcels were exported into this database.

Description: U.S. ZIP Code Areas (Five-Digit) represents five-digit ZIP Code areas used by the U.S. Postal Service to deliver mail more effectively. The first digit of a five-digit ZIP Code divides the United States into 10 large groups of states numbered from 0 in the Northeast to 9 in the far West. Within these areas, each state is divided into an average of 10 smaller geographical areas, identified by the second and third digits. These digits, in conjunction with the first digit, represent a sectional center facility or a mail processing facility area. The fourth and fifth digits identify a post office, station, branch or local delivery area.
Description: The zones were developed by Gary Flagg and Chris Freitas using ZIP codes for district boundaries and relying on institutional knowledge for zone delineation.

Description: These data were created from the publication entitled:
"Soil Survey of Eastern Santa Clara Area, California" issued September 1974.
The publication was produced by the US Dept of Agriculture Soil Conservation Service in cooperation with University of California Agricultural Experiment Station.
Once a soil class is identified using the GIS, use the document entitled: "Soils of Santa Clara County" dated June 1968 to determine the characteristics of that soil type.
Description: December 22, 2020 by Greg BazhawThis dataset was downloaded from https://frap.fire.ca.gov/mapping/gis-data/. It was then reprojected to State PlaneThis dataset is a clip of the SRAs, statewide dataset, 2-mile buffer around county. Purpose for AGOL reduced footprint.==============================================================This dataset (SRA20_3) represents SRA status as of July 9th 2020. This dataset is largely consistent with SRA20_2, with the exception of:* An error in SLU, around the town of San Miguel, that had to be rectified.

Description: Feb 22, 2021 by Greg BazhawThese data were provided by Steve Borgstrom. The servers were updated with these data on this date. It was projected into State Plane.==========================================================The original Coyote Valley boundary was used as the basis for this data was provided by Jake Smith from the Open Space Authority 07/29/2019. This boundary was intersected with the February 2012 USA for Morgan Hill, with features corresponding to FID_MH_USA_2012 = 1 subsequently deleted (within Morgan Hill USA). Columns FID_CVStudyArea, and FID_MH_USA were then deleted and a new string field called "Name" was created and populated with the string "Coyote Valley".
