Service Description: The offshore wind Maritime Technical Working Group (M-TWG), led by the New York
State Department of State (DOS) and supported by NYSERDA is an advisory entity formed to engage regional stakeholders with maritime and/or offshore wind responsibilities and interests working to advance offshore wind (OSW) development.
This feature represents one layer of data pilled via the United States Coast Guard Marine Casualty Reporting Deficiency Data system (e.g. www.dco.uscg.mil). The feature layer is processed data from 2017 which represents marine casualty instances within a specific boundary as presented in the report: The Maritime Technical Working Group Assessment of Loss of Propulsion and Steering Data Summary Report dated April 14, 2023. The identified boundary layer is specific to all of the data pulled from the United States Coast Guard Deficiency Data system library for the particular year of 2017.
The point data has particular Incident fields attached to each location which indicated the reported incidents at that particular location for the year of 2017.
