Service Description: This file contains ecological characteristics of infaunal Fishers diversity (prediction of the number of species at different levels of abundance) in the central Long Island Sound Pilot Area based on grab samples and analyses of high definition photos and video. These data are averages of data processed from individual samples within the larger sample block areas. This dataset represents data collected in Fall 2012.

University of New Haven graduate students that contributed to the development of this data set included: Shannon Penna, Deena Chadi, Jaymie Frederick and Michelle Biegaj. Larry Poppe and Dan Blackwood of the USGS operated the SEABOSS system during the cruise. Field assistance was also provided by Lauren Stefaniak and the crew of the RV Connecticut.
