Service Description: The purpose of this data set is to provide users with a national scale karst data coverage to use for graphic and demonstration purposes until a new, improved data set is developed. Because it has been converted to GIS format, this data can be easily projected, displayed and queried for multiple uses. This data is not intended and should not be used for site-specific research. This data was collected by Stone Environmental, Inc. for the New York State Department of State with funds provided under Title 11 of the Environmental Protection Fund. The original dataset was clipped for use in the Mohawk River Watershed Management Plan.
