Description: This dataset is derived from the "Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) Fire Threat" GIS layer (GRID raster format) available from Cal Fire FRAP. Metadata available here: http://frap.fire.ca.gov/data/data%20dictionaries/wui.txt?rec=wui&ext=.txtThe "WUI_area" polygon dataset is a modified version of the Wildland Urban Interface Fire Threat GIS layer prepared by Monterey County RMA, 2016. The Wildland Urban Interface GRID file (NAD 27 Albers projection) was reclassified, converted to polgon shapefile format and projected to NAD 83 CA State Plan Zone IV Feet using ArcGIS 10.2 ArcToolbox Tools.
