Description: These data oridinated with Yakutat Community Profile Maps and have been subsiquently updated to support data management in GIS. Original cad files were converted to GIS polygons and assigned Parcel ID numbers based on a Yakutat Borough Parcel Borough Tax Parcel Book. Parcels were also assigned attributes related to source plat, legal description, zoning, ownership and assessed values. Control Each survey is based on the record platAccuracy Meets National Cartographic Mapping Standards (90% of defined horizontal points are accurate to within 2 feet, 90% of elevations are accurate to within 1 foot)Process The maps are prepared by researching land records, field survey work, building inventories, and land uses in the community and immediate area. Survey ground control was done to prepare the orthophoto and contour mapping. There is a survey tie to the community’s high water mark. A digital elevation model is created to prepare the orthophotos. All work is done in accordance with the National Cartographic Mapping Standards.
