Description:

The Q3 Flood Data are derived from the Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMS) published by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The file is georeferenced to earth"s surface using geographic projection and decimal degree coordinate system. The specifications for the horizontal control of Q3 Flood Data files are consistent with those required for mapping at a scale of 1:24000.

Copyright Text: 3/14/03 T.W. When the electronic FIRM was overlayed other, more accurately positioned data, it was obvious that the FIRM was off by 300+ Feet. I reconverted the original files each time coming up with the same 300 foot difference. Since the difference was basically an east/west shift, I moved the whole dataset the 300 feet to the west in one shift. THIS data still is not perfect. But it does seem to match existing data much better.
