Polygon Mask outsider the City Limits of the City of Gulf Shores, Alabama in the following parts;
City of Gulf Shores, Alabama's Police Jurisdiction. The northern boundary line between Gulf Shores
and Foley is as per AL State Leg. Act 1997-865. The eastern boundary between Gulf Shores and Orange
Beach is in accordance with the agreement between the two cities July 24, 2006 as per Gulf Shores
Resolution Number 4123-06. The western and southern boundaries are determined by a three mile buffer
of the City Limits including water bodies, as of the annexation by Gulf Shores Ordinance Numbers
1259 & 1740 and Leg. Act 2021-297 and the Alabama Supreme Court Ruling of February 28, 2014 regarding
the deannexation of parcels on the Fort Morgan Peninsula.
The Planning Jurisdiction (not shown) incuding issuance of Buiding Permits was dropped by the City in
a letter to the Baldwin County Commission dated November 10, 2022 and effective January 1, 2023.
And a polygon consisting of a one-inch buffer of the three mile Police Jurisdiction outer limits for
visual use only as part of a reverse City Limits mask.
And a polygon of Bald. Co. Dist 4 outside of the Gulf Shores City Limits and Police Jur. for visual
purposed only as part of a reverse City Limits mask.
