Service Description: Tree impact criteria (TIC) methodology: Prioritisation (benefits realised) criteria
Tree impact criteria (determined in the PGSS sample site report 2023).
Prioritisation criteria were defined to identify areas where tree planting would deliver the greatest benefit. Criteria applied are:
a. Deprivation – Indices of Multiple Deprivation Score 1–4, where 4 is the most deprived.
b. Heat risk stress - Urban Heat Stress Vulnerability Score 1-4, where 4 is the highest heat stress risk.
c. Nature recovery - Nature Recovery and other nature networks Score 1-4, where 4 is the most ecological benefit.
d. Tree deficit – Existing canopy Score 1-4, where 4 is the least canopy (ie; most deficit).
