Description: Polygon layer representing the current year's tax parcels in Koochiching County. Coordinate system is NAD 1983 HARN Adj MN Koochiching (US Feet) County Coordinates. Maintenance and update frequency is typically done on a weekly basis as parcel divisions, merges, etc. occur.
Parcel data layer was created by Arrowhead Regional Development Commission (ARDC) and completed in 2003. Since that time, county GIS staff edit boundaries and enter parcel numbers manually. In 2022, planning is underway to review and convert existing data into parcel fabric.
