WRC has created a set of GIS layers to support the LAWA project. This includes the final GIS table/view that gets fed via WFS to MfE, as well as more detailed layers showing additional data that is useful to Council in understanding the data and enabling quality assurance.
First stage of this project involves a series of requested tables relating to water quality and quantity. Additional requests are planned by MfE over time.
Data used to construct the tables are sourced from different Council business areas including IRIS (consents data), WISKI (time series data for eater takes and monitoring sites) and Spatial Information (GIS reference layers, derived output from spatial analysis).
