Description: Historic Districts 1 (Downtown District) and the National Register sites within the District. The points were geocoded from an exported table and clipped to the Downtown District (HD1).
GIS staff added fields for 2016 data collection to the THC (Texas Historic Commission) addresses from 1985 and 2005 Surveys which were edited by Cheri Bedford, City of Paris Main Street Coordinator. She placed the address points that were created from an export of the THC database for Paris TX onto the correct parcel or building and added notes on current condition, owner, etc. Research documents included 1946 Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps and Lamar County Appraisal District records, City of Paris Texas Permit Address cards & Tax maps. 06/23/2016 bkf calculate Longitude & Latitude fields (existing THC Field) using NAD 1983 datum and Decimal degrees w/8 decimals.
