Description:

This layer shows recent earthquakes from GNS Shaking Layers and uses matching symbology and classes as the GeoNet maps for PSA in units of g. It can be used in addition to the GNS Shaking Layers epicentre layer.

This layer is updated when

a Shaking Layers event is created
a new latest run is available for an event

Use this PSA layer if you want to know the acceleration experienced in an area for a period of 3.0 seconds.

The specific layers provided in this service are:

Pseudo Spectral Acceleration: Pseudo spectral acceleration values per location above 0.01 (in units of g)

Shaking Layers are computed using the most appropriate (source) parameters for the calculation, and these may differ from those visible on the GeoNet website or other products.
