This layer shows recent earthquakes from GNS Shaking Layers and uses matching symbology and classes as the GeoNet maps for PGA. It can be used in addition to the GNS Shaking Layers epicentre layer.

Use this PGA layer if you want to show across an area how fast a point on the ground is shaking as a result of an earthquake.

Shaking Layers are computed using the most appropriate (source) parameters for the calculation, and these may differ from those visible on the GeoNet website or other products.
