Description: Trail data Update: 8/3/2016- Saratoga Creek Trail was added- Stevens Creek Trail was reduced Trail data was updated according to Gail's email below (sent @ 7/16/216)-----------Email-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Saratoga Creek Trail runs on the east side of Saratoga Creek. It is technically outside our city limits but we built it & we operate under a joint use agreement. The part that is considered “Cupertino’s” runs from Mitty Drive south to Bollinger Rd. Attached are construction plans for most of it, from the bridge at Sterling-Barnhart Park south to Bollinger. There is a short extension north of that to a crosswalk on Lawrence Expwy that links to Mitty. Attached is a map that shows “our” section and San Jose’s which extends south of Bollinger.Re. Stevens Creek Trail (SCT), the Council took an action on it in June. Based on that, the section from McClellan Road to Stevens Creek Blvd. is SCT. The sidewalks and bike lanes on Stevens Creek Blvd and Foothill Blvd are no longer considered to be part of the SCT trail system. The loop trails within Rancho San Antonio and the adj. Midpeninsula Regional Open Space Preserve lands are popular trails, but they are not considered to be SCT. Attached is a map. I believe it is worth showing the public trails at Rancho even though the city does not operate them. For example, the Hammond-Snyder house served by the Hammond-Snyder loop trail is owned by the Cupertino Historical Society and is on the city’s historical register. Deer Hollow Farm is financially sponsored by the City since we make an annual contribution to its operating budget.
