Description: This polygon feature class represents the foliage outlines of trees and shrubs located on the levee landside slopes and interior areas on Dutch Slough property (Emerson, Gilbert, and Burroughs parcels). The trees and shrubs on the levee waterside slopes are not included. The purpose of this dataset is to estimate acreages of riparian forest and scrub shrub that will have to be mitigated for due to the construction of the Dutch Slough Tidal Marsh Restoration Project. The polygons were digitized using the Contra Costa County 2014 Orthoimagery at a scale of 1:1000 by Karen Tolentino, CA Department of Water Resources, Delta Levees Office Special Investigations Unit on June 3, 2016.Classifications of polygons on Emerson and Gilbert Parcels have been field verified by Program Manager, Patty Finfrock on June 6, 2017. Polygons on Burroughs Parcel are still to be verified. Dataset was updated on June 7, 2016.
