Description: Administrative Subdivisions (5m) represents the boundaries for the first-level administrative divisions (State/Province) of the world as defined by the GENC (Geopolitical Entities, Names, and Codes) standard. GENC is a U.S. Government customization of ISO 3166 codes that replaces the retired FIPS 10-4 standard. The GENC Standard is based on ISO 3166 but extends to capture additional information required by U.S. Government stakeholders. The current data build reflects GENC Standard Edition 3.0 (30 June 2015). This data set contains vector data at 1:5m scale.
