This general plan layer is built and maintained by the City of Pico Rivera.
This layer represents the Pico Rivera general plan. The city’s long‑range policy guides how the community will grow, develop, and protect resources over time. The existing General Plan was last updated in 2014.
Frequency/Triggers: Data updated on an as-needed basis, initiated by planning staff at Pico Rivera. Whenever public necessity, convenience, and general welfare require changes in or modifications of the General Plan or any element, or to address changes in state or federal law and problems and opportunities that were unanticipated at the time of adoption or the last General Plan amendment, such changes or modifications shall only be made in the form of an amendment.
Update Process: Current practice includes the following steps
Create a local backup of the current General Plan layer on the Pico Rivera Environment
Layer is updated manually in ArcGIS Pro using the editing suite of tools
Updates are then pushed to ArcGIS Online and Enterprise Portal using the overwrite tool
