DEQ Environmental Covenant (EC) buffers. Environmental Covenant Buffer locations were created by DEQ staff using ESRI software to digitize the polygons. These polygon locations represent areas of environmental restriction. These polygons do not represent contaminated areas. This shapefile is not used for Bluestakes purposes.
The sites with environmental restrictions are
subject to the Uniform Environmental Covenants Act as defined in Utah Code Ann.
§§ 57-25-101 et seq. for the purpose of subjecting the Property to defined institutional
controls or activity and use limitations.
This SDE data layer contains environmental covenant buffer areas for all programs in the Department of Environmental Quality. The polygon data used to produce environmental covenant maps have been reviewed by DEQ staff and found to be adequate for DEQ’s purposes which require the depiction of general institutional control area information. The accuracy of these polygon locations may not be sufficient for other purposes. Persons relying upon this data do so at their own risk. The DEQ assumes no responsibility or liability for the accuracy of these environmental covenant polygons.
