Description: Generalized zoning designation boundaries from local zoning ordinances. Contains zones from local jurisdictions as well as broader categories for the entire Metro Region. Metro works with each jurisdiction and corrections were made by Metro where advised. The zone_class and zonegen_cl are maintained by the DRC. These are classifications of the local jurisdiction zoning codes. They allow for doing analysis across the region.For example, for the City of Portland's IG2 zoning, the zonegen_cl will be IND industrial and one of the industrial zone_class classifications. These will be very good indicators for the description of the local jurisdiction zone.
