Description: Regional Bike Facility and Bike There data. The Bike There! data identifies on-street bike facilities and multi-use trails in the Portland Metro region. In addition, the data identifies streets where bicyclists share the road with motorists. Streets shown on this map were chosen in consultation with cities, counties, citizen groups, recreational and commuter bicyclists, and transportation planners throughout the region. More experienced cyclists may feel some good cycling streets were omitted from the map. Beginning cyclists may find some of the streets more difficult than they would like. In many cases, neighborhood streets with low traffic volumes and speeds offer alternatives to some of the busier streets shown on the map. The color coding should assist bicyclists in finding the kinds of streets they'll enjoy riding.
