The data shows the legal boundaries of the municipalies in DeKalb County, GA.
The data shows the boundaries of the counties that the Atlanta Regional Commission oversees planning for in the Atlanta metropolitan region.
Description of attributes are as follows:
CENTERLINEID - a unique ID to each segment
FROMLEFT, TOLEFT, FROMRIGHT, TORIGHT - hi low left and right side of the street situs addresses
FULLNAME - the full name of the street spelled out except for the street type which as abbreviated to USPS standards, foreign key into the MasterSreetName table
FEDROUTE - the unique numeric ID assigned to the road by the Federal Govt - Department of Transportation
FEDRTETYPE - type of road assigned by Federal Govt
AFEDRTE- alternate federal route ID
AFEDRTETYPE - alternate federal route type
STROUTE - state route ID assigned by GDOT
STRTETYPE - state route type assigned by GDOT
ASTROUTE - alternate state route ID assigned by GDOT
ASTRTETYPE - alternate state route type assigned by GDOT
CTYROUTE - city route ID
ONEWAYDIR - code to signify a one way road
ROADLEVEL- (currently not used)
INWATER - (currently not used)
ROADCLASS - the type of road from the 2014 DeKalb Transportation Plan (Freeway, Major Arterial, Minor Arterial, Collector, Local, 4WD, Other), Those roads classified as 'Other' signify roads that no longer exist and do not show on County maps.
CFCCCODE- type of road according to the Census Bureau ( 1100=Primary road,1200=Secondary road,1400=Local neighborhood road,1500=Vehicular trail (4WD),1630=Ramp,1640=Service road,1740=Walkway)
OWNEDBY - who own that road segment (1=Our Agency, -1=Private, -2=Other, -3=State, -4=Municipality)
MAINTBY- who maintains the road (1=Our Agency, -1=Private, -2=Other, -3=State, -4=Municipality)
MUNILEFT & MUNIRIGHT - the municipalities on either side of the segment (AE=Avondale Estates,AT=Atlanta,ATL=Atlanta in Fulton County,BH=Brookhaven,CH=Chamblee,CK=Clarkston,DC=unincorporated DeKalb,DE=Decatur,DO=Doraville,DWY=Dunwoody,FCO=Fulton County,GCO=Gwinnett County,LT=Lithonia,PL=Pine Lake,RCO=Rockdale County,SM=Stone Mountain,SP=Stone Mountain Park,TC=Tucker
ZIPLEFT & ZIPRIGHT - the zip codes on either side of the segment
MSAGLEFT & MSAGRIGHT - the MSAG on either side of the segment used by 911, populated with the place name associated with the zip code, aka "community"
ESNLEFT & ESNRIGHT - the emergency service zones on either side of the segment used by 911
LASTEDITOR & LASTUPDATE - who last edited the segment and when
AltName - another name for that road segment, also used for alternative spellings
STREET_NAME_ID - foreign key into the GIS.STREETNAME table
Each of DeKalb County's 26 fire stations has its own territory to which is responds. Any call for fire or ems services falling within a fire station territory will be directed to that fire station. The municipaliities of Atlanta and Decatur provide their own fire service and thus are not included in the fire station territories.
