Description: The Mixed-Income Attainability Analysis was constructed to identify and analyze census tracts in seven metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs) across the United States that have characteristics of sustainable density for urban services while also retaining diverse income mix. The MSAs used for the analysis are Atlanta, New Orleans, Baltimore, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Memphis, and Oakland (CA). Based on the following density, income, and poverty criteria identified by Capital Impact Partners, D3 selected 45 tracts for a deeper assessment of geographic and demographic characteristics.
