Primary Natural Resource Areas represent lands with multiple resource values, including large forest blocks and other wildlife habitat, wetlands and waterbodies, and the aquifers that feed Easton’s water supply wells. These are the core areas that maintain functioning ecosystems and healthy water supplies. Secondary Natural Areas contain fewer resources and are less critical to maintaining ecosystem functions. They serve as important buffers and extensions of the primary resource areas.
