General trash is collected one day each week for most areas within the City of Durham. Recyclables are collected every other week on that same day. Bulky items and yard waste are collected on the following day. This polygon feature class represents the corresponding collection day areas for these waste streams for all areas within the City of Durham.

CEO Areas are the Neighborhood Improvement Services (NIS) Code Enforcement Officer Areas. Code enforcement officers respond to complaints from citizens about violations that lower the quality of life and aesthetic curb appeal of Durham neighborhoods.
These collection day polygons indicate on which day of the week residents of Durham County in areas beyond the extent of the City of Durham are entitled to roadside collection of their recyclable solid waste streams.

A social district is a defined area in which a person may consume an alcoholic beverage sold by an ABC permittee located within the social district.
A social district may include both indoor and outdoor areas of businesses within a defined area during the days and hours set by the local government.
A social district may include privately owned property, including permittees and non-permittee businesses, and multi-tenant establishments, as well as public streets, crosswalks, or parking areas whether the streets or parking areas are closed to vehicle traffic.
