This a polygon feature class layer representing the Racial Equity Index in the City of Alexandria. The polygons are based on the 2020 Census tract geometry joined to Racial Equity Index table in which values are calculated using the index of disparity methodology (Pearcy & Keppel, 2002). This data should be used to set specific goals for closing racial gaps and to evaluate where interventions could be focused to address existing inequities. Last updated Winter of 2023.
