Name: CZU Road and Trail Corridor Tree Assessment

Display Field: OBJECTID

Type: Feature Layer

Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolygon

Description:

This polygon shapefile contains the outlines of tree canopies derived from a LiDAR Digital Surface Model collected (March, 2021). The canopy perimeters in this dataset are trees within 75 feet from a road or trail with low vigor on steep hillslopes and are greater than 18 feet tall. This feature class contains multiple vegetation vigor indexes derived from four-band imagery, height of the tree, and the slope on which the tree is located. The purpose of this feature class is to highlight areas where low-vigor trees could impact trails and roads. This feature class contains 9 attributes: dsmheight, treeht, band4, MGRVI, NDVI, TGI, aspect, slope, and tree_rank. The dsmheight attribute is the highest point of the tree (ft) with terrain added. The treeht attribute is the highest point of the tree (ft) with terrain removed. This attribute was used to rank potential tree impact. The band4 attribute is the average Triangulated Near-Infrared Index with values that range between 1 to 100 with 100 being the highest potential vigor. The MGRVI attribute is the average Modified Green Ratio Vegetation Index with values that range between 1 and 100 with 100 being the highest potential vigor. The NDVI attribute is the average Normalized Difference Vegetation Index with values that range between 1 and 100 with 100 being the highest vigor. The TGI attribute is the average Triangulated Greenness Index with values that range between 1 and 100 with 100 being the highest potential vigor. The aspect attribute is the dominant aspect in degrees that the tree is on. The slope attribute is the average slope (%) that the tree is on. The tree_rank attribute is potential impact ranking with values ranging between 1 and 100 with 100 being the highest rank.
