Description: The City of St. Petersburg has recently completed the Private Laterals Inflow and Infiltration (I/I) Pilot Study and is currently developing a City-Wide Private Laterals Program. The results of the pilot study showed that I/I within the City’s wastewater collection system is significantly reduced by rehabilitating private laterals within areas of the City subject to high and excessive rainfall derived inflow and infiltration (RDII).The City-wide Private Laterals Program is broken into two phases: Phase 1 and Phase 2. Single-family home parcels located in high or excessive RDII areas, as determined by previous I/I characterization studies, are designated as Phase 1 parcels. All other single-family home parcels located within the City's service area is designated as Phase 2 parcels. All other parcels that are not classified as single-family homes is labeled as "Not Eligible". Phase or non-eligible designation is included in this layer.
