Description: Federal regulations require that the TIP be "financially constrained." Only those projects and programs for which funding is reasonably anticipated during the timeframe of the TIP are included. Project selection and funding allocations contained in the TIP are developed through a cooperative process facilitated by the MPO (SKATS) and reflect active participation by area jurisdictions, agencies, interest groups, and citizens. For public transportation projects, the public participation process for the Transportation Improvement Program satisfies the public participation process and timing for the Program of Projects. The TIP is updated every two years.
