Description: These 40 sample sections were randomly derived in Microsoft excel using the RAND function. There are 10 sections each from the four condition classes present in Forest Park's Central Management Unit, 'good', 'fair', 'poor', and 'very poor'. The selection of 10 sections from each condition classes inevitably led to bias as the majority of sections were 'fair' and there were few total 'very poor' sections from which to sample (see FP_Assess and FP_GradeGIS feature classes). HARN grade values were derived from the section rise/run method in the NAD 1983 HARN StatePlane Oregon North FIPS 3601 (Intl Feet)_1 projection, native to the original FP_Assess dataset.
