Description: Regional street network with geocodable addresses. Each street segment has all address components for address matching. Streets are categorized by type for cartographic purposes. The streets and address range information is used by 911 centers for dispatch information. Since the accuracy of this information is important for emergency dispatch, they provide updates on a regular basis. Virtually every street in the region is in this data layer.
Description: A regional inventory of sidewalks on all streets within the Portland, Oregon urban growth boundary based on the RLIS street centerline file. Inventory includes only those streets, pathways and other features that are represented by the RLIS street centerline file. Information includes the presence or absence of sidewalks on both sides of street centerline segments; the estimated percentage of sidewalk coverage (comparing length of existing sidewalk to possible length of sidewalk for each centerline segment); the estimated percentage of proposed sidewalk coverage (comparing length of proposed sidewalk to possible length for each centerline segment).
Description: The Title 4 Land data delineates the following 3 areas where landuse is restricted: 1. In Regionally Significant Industrial Areas (Plan = RSI), non-industrial uses are limited to: Retail uses less than 20,000 square feet and amounting to only 5 percent of the contiguous Regionally Significant Industrial Area. Commercial office uses that are not accessory to the industrial uses with the exception of large corporate headquarters. And uses necessary to serve the needs of businesses and employees of the Regionally Significant Industrial Area. 2. In Industrial Areas (Plan = IND), non-industrial uses are limited to less than 20,000 square feet and amount to 10 percent of the Industrial Area. 3. In Employment Areas (Plan = EMP), retail uses are limited to less than 60,000 square feet. This can be increased if it is demonstrated that transportation facilities are adequate to serve the retail use and to serve other planned uses in the Employment Area.
Description: The data displays the actual geographic boundaries of the centers, which are part of the Region 2040 Concept Map. Centers are compact, mixed-use areas of high-density housing, employment, and retail that are pedestrian-oriented and well served by public transportation and roads. Centers are defined as the central city, regional centers, and town centers.
