Description:

This data identifies current zoning for all areas within Pierce County. Specific zones for every jurisdiction are included, but they have been categorized into five broad "types" of zones to improve the visual display of the information: Commercial; Industrial; Mixed Use; Residential; and Other. Zoning "type" was determined by the data author, based on land-use codes adopted by ordinances, and has not been reviewed by planning authorities in the various jurisdictions.

The data was compiled by Pierce County's Economic Devlelopment Department in support of the InvestPierceCounty.com project.
