Description:

This shapefile was created using the Pierce County Street Center Line file (Roads) and the United States Postal Service ZIP+4 Address Information System (AIS). Updates since ZIP Codes were originally built consist of utilizing the USPS ZIP Code look up tool (https://tools.usps.com/go/ZipLookupAction_input) to check all roads that are near a ZIP Code boundary. ZIP Codes are drawn best fit to tax parcel boundaries. ZIP Code boundaries may be used for reference and analysis, but should be cross-referened with the United States Post Office for the most current street and site address changes.
