Description: 4/11/2022, I finished importing the fieldwork into the SDE at University Village. University Village has gone from overhead power to underground power. The work started the Summer of 2021 and completed Spring of 2022. I went out on 4/4/2022 and GPS the above ground infrastructure. The receiver in good sky was getting better than an inch accuracy; however, much of this neighborhood has thick evergreen tree cover. Robert Holder and Mike Stamey held the GPS receiver to speed up the collection process. The powerlines are drawn connecting the collected points unless it was noticed that trenching was done. I also used a model given to me by Matt Makdad. Here Is a link to the entire project. 2/11/2022 Update with Collector Eggers, Holder, Stamey, Fieldwork started 5/21/2019 - 10/7/2020, area studied: I25, J25, K21, K26, L23, L24, L25,L26, M24,M25,M26<N23,N24,N25,N26,R24,R25,S23,S24,S25. Link to raw data Here8/23/2021 Updated Stadium P3 area using a .dwg supplied by JW Hampton given to me by Dainel Gryder.10/20/2020Fiber and electrical are being installed October 2020 at ASU Water Plant. While the ditches are open I collected images and exact location with a high accuracy GPS, EOS Arrow Gold the afternoon of 10/14/2020. The GPS worked very well in open sky, accuracy .2-.4 of an Inch; however, beside structures and under tree canopy the accuracy fell to around 6 feet After this data is imported into the GIS Portal attribution will follow from Facilities Electrical Department and Tec Support. While I was there I also collected obvious above ground structure. There is a total of about 650' of ditch. It is open as of today but we will be backfilling tomorrow. If possible, it would be best to come out early in the morning tomorrow. Call me at (828)964-1698. Thanks Eddie7/9/2018 This, feature class was updated with a 2017 survey. The Old High School property was surveyed by Timothy W. Caldwell License number L-5232, September 27, 2017, Mattern & Crag Engineers and Surveyors. Data is considered 90% accurate, and data was collected between 8/ 5-18 / 2017. All coordinates are based on NCGS NAD/83/ 2011 and all elevations are based on NAVD 88. 4/17/2018 Updated by NRLP Staff8/22/2017 Images were attached to 93 of the 1443 points that came from Rochester’s many folders a python script was run to place all images into an organized folder. Rochester surveyed 95 transformers the remainder came from a NRLP CAD drawing. 4/11/2017 An spatial list of all NRLP transformers pad mount and pole mount count 1344.Scott Eggers data from 03/14/2017 has been transferred to this feature class today 08/07/2017. Some electrical switches were attributed by Rochester as transformers and some transformers were attributed as electrical switches. As Scott discovers these small mix-ups are being corrected.3/14/2017 Under construction in NRLP GeoDatebase3/6/2017 Editor Tracker has been added to this feature class. All of the attributes have been appropriately updated and meaningless columns omitted. However, this is a work in progress.A power transformer is a device that transforms power from one circuit to another without changing the frequency. The voltage is either increased (stepped up) or decreased (stepped down). In this dataset 125 electrical transformers were geolocated, all two were photographed. They data points were collected between 8/19/2014 and 11/19/2014; however, 43 of the data points don’t have a date listed. The following columns do not have any data in them: owner, install_yr, and source. The PM_Number column stands for the name of a specific transformer, 45 of the 125 do not have a PM_Number listed. The Location_N column stands for the actual physical location on New River Light & Power map grid, 44 of the 125 do not have data listed in this column either. There are limited entries in the dimensions’ column they consist of: 7x6, (2) 6x7, 6x6, (2) 6x5, 5x7, (5) 5x6, (7) 5x5, (2) 5x4, 4x6, 3x3, 2x3, and 1.5x1.5. There are also limited comments in the comments column, they consist of: PM784, PM1906, PM1738, PM1724, PM1640, PM1542, PM1457, NC2, and 750.ESRI, Woodard & Curran, Rochester & Associates, Inc. New River Light & Power, Highland Mapping, ASU Technology support, Art Rex and Edward Hyle
