Description: 2/10/2021 Major update Eggers, Holder, and Stamey, fieldwork 8/2/2019 - 10/27/2020, using collector, no images were taken. Areas studied: C22, D22, D23, C25, D25, F21, G21, G22, H10, H11, I10, I11, I12, I13, J13, J12, J21, K19, K20, K21, K22, K23, K24, K25, K26, L18, L21, M20, M21, L23, L24, M23, M24, M25,M26, N23, N24, N25, and N26. Link to raw Data10/20/2020Fiber and electrical are being installed October 2020 at ASU Water Plant. While the ditches are open I collected images and exact location with a high accuracy GPS, EOS Arrow Gold the afternoon of 10/14/2020. The GPS worked very well in open sky, accuracy .2-.4 of an Inch; however, beside structures and under tree canopy the accuracy fell to around 6 feet After this data is imported into the GIS Portal attribution will follow from Facilities Electrical Department and Tec Support. While I was there I also collected obvious above ground structure. There is a total of about 650' of ditch. It is open as of today but we will be backfilling tomorrow. If possible, it would be best to come out early in the morning tomorrow. Call me at (828)964-1698. Thanks Eddie3/20/2020 Made a copy to this feature class, removed non old features form the Leon Levine building updated images as requested by Art Rex.7/9/2018 This, feature class was updated with a 2017 survey. The Old High School property was surveyed by Timothy W. Caldwell License number L-5232, September 27, 2017, Mattern & Crag Engineers and Surveyers. Data is considered 90% accurate, and data was collected between 8/ 5-18 / 2017. All coordinates are based on NCGS NAD/83/ 2011 and all elevations are based on NAVD 88. 11/302017 added to the SDE.11/29/17 Matthew Makdad, deleted unnecessary features from the NRLP poles and merged them to streetlight feature class making this new streetlight feature class. He did this using in house spreadsheets from Scott Eggers and Diana Wilcox. He had difficulty using ARC 10.4 because it does not have the functionality of ARC 10.5.1 so we repeated the procedure on my computer with success. There are now 1983 streetlights. He has ask the remaining streetlight feature class be renamed StreetLight_Rochester.9/28/2017 Edward Hyle, Changed light name as requested from cobra head safety light to cobra head light. Also removed the lights from the old Broyhill Inn site.9/27/2017 Met with Duane Reese in Sanford Mall today and he showed me were the WIFI fiber and one underground secondary power line was located. The electric power line is (2) 120 volt circuits #10 THHN. The fiber in the middle of the Mall is 6-strand fiber that runs to the electrical manhole and goes into IG Greer. The other WIFI connected on all buildings is CAT 5 cable. Explanation two 1-inch conduits go through the middle of the mall depth unknown. A ¾-inch conduit goes from the Sternberg to a manhole in the wide walk then to IG Greer. Collector was used for geolocation with images.Edited Streetlights, removed duplicates, add missing with NRLP poles, and added attribution just around ASU properties.9/05/2017 Images were attached to 1273 of the 1290 points that came from Rochester’s many folders a python script was run to place all images into an organized folder. Ownership has been assigned to the known 728 points, (ASU Sternberg lights). Two duplicate images have been omitted. 8/23/2017 Ready to attach the 1275 Rochester images to this feature class that now contains 1290 points.3/4/2017 Editor Tracker has been added to this feature class. All of the attributes have been appropriately updated and meaningless columns omitted. However, this is a work in progress.The definition of a light pole in this dataset is any outside light used for safety lighting as well as accent lighting. Examples of different styles of lights in this dataset are: New River Light and Power cobra head street lights, Appalachian State University Physical Plant Sternberg lights, various landscape accent lights, and other vertical style safety lights which can be viewed along the crosstie steps descending from Greenwood Parking lot, and behind Frank Residence Hall. In this dataset 1292 light poles were gelocated between 8/19/2014 and 11/20/2014 all but 5 were photographed. 392 of the 1292 light poles are not dated. The following columns are blank: owner, install_yr, and source. The id column has one comment: NRS. The comments column has limited comments, they are: NR5313, NR5310, L2501C, L2501B, K2608P, K2608N, K2608M, K2608L, K2608K, K2608H, K2608G, K2605F, K2605D, K2605C, K2605B, J2130C, (2), J2130C, F1716B, AREA UNDER CON., 168820, 168818, and 168817.Updated 08/09/2016 by Edward Hyle all lighting features now have a name and ownership.
