Description: 12/01/2020 This data around the Leon Lavine Hall of Health Sciences, has been updated using a georeferenced PDF, land survey 02/04/2020 by Allen geomatics Job 1234 last revised 07-17-2020 336-998-0215 L-3810. Jeffery C. Allen.10/20/2020 Update MajorFiber and electrical are being installed October 2020 at ASU Water Plant. While the ditches are open I collected images and exact location with a high accuracy GPS, EOS Arrow Gold the afternoon of 10/14/2020. The GPS worked very well in open sky, accuracy .2-.4 of an Inch; however, beside structures and under tree canopy the accuracy fell to around 6 feet After this data is imported into the GIS Portal attribution will follow from Facilities Electrical Department and Tec Support. While I was there I also collected obvious above ground structure. See below email string:Scott EggersWed, Oct 14, 1:38 PM (21 hours ago)to me, Matt, MichaelEddie,ASU Electrical shop has been installing some infrastructure at the Water Plant on Rainbow Trail for some security cameras I believe. They are in the process of backfilling the trenches now. We thought you might want to GIS those ditches for future reference. If you could do it this week while digging is fresh would be best.Edward HyleWed, Oct 14, 2:06 PM (21 hours ago)Sure, when do you need me come by, and what am I looking at?Michael GreeneWed, Oct 14, 2:22 PM (20 hours ago)to meWe are putting 2-1" PVC from entrance gate all the way around the building to the exit gate for security cameras. There is a total of about 650' of ditch. It is open as of today but we will be backfilling tomorrow. If possible, it would be best to come out early in the morning tomorrow. Call me at (828)964-1698. I will have to open the gate to let you in if you are before 8:00. Let me know if you have any questions.Edward Hylehyleea@appstate.eduWed, Oct 14, 2:26 PM (20 hours ago)to MichaelI would like to see it open I can come by in a bit.Scott EggersWed, Oct 14, 2:38 PM (20 hours ago)to me, Matt, MichaelI think anytime would work. You may want to contact Michael Greene (copied in this email) for more details as they are actually doing the work.ScottEdward Hylehyleea@appstate.edu7:00 AM (4 hours ago)to Scott, Matt, MichaelHello all,I have gotten all of the ditches located and photographed as needed. Please give me a day or so to get is data into the GIS Portal to be viewed, then we can further attribute the data further. Thanks,EddieMichael Greene6:53 AM (3 hours ago)to me10-4. Thanks EddieThe Endzone, Raven Rocks, Laurel Hill, and Thunder Hill area has been updated 10/2/2020, from an As Built .dwg converted into feature classes. This conversion was done 7/12/2019. Field work was also done to fact check some of the features, as construction continues. As more information becomes available more edits will be done. Since Raven Rocks and Thunder Hill have been completed I thought they need to be represented. I should soon receive the finalized .dwg from the contactors. This is a living feature class that is edited and updated as information becomes available. 9/28/2020Leon Levine Hall of Health Sciences, College of Health Sciences These features were updated using a Bid Package 2, May 9, 2016, Page 21 C302, CERT. NO. 50417. This PDF was georeferenced, using ArcMap 10.8.1 on 9/24/2020 using known landmarks, and completed fieldwork from the fall of 2018. These updates may be changed again once the finalized DWG files are released. All associated documentation.4/15/2019Using new photography and the retaining wall feature class, as well as others, I have snapped surrounding features together as they should be. This procedure has taken sometime and I am sure I have missed some things but the vector basemap looks much cleaner now. I would have thought Rochester would have done this for us as a final draft of their services. All of the line features that should be a closed item are now. As I run across others they will be corrected as well. 10/12/2017 Imported into the SDE.This task was performed using aerial photography, Arc Map, Arc Map Online, Collector, and a Python Script. It started 4/26/2017 and completed on 8/1/2017. All data is located approximately not surveyed. If there are any edits, corrections, or comments please email Edward Hyle hyleea@appstate.edu. A python script was run to place all photos into a single folder.Appalachian State University Geography and Edward Hyle
