<p>This statewide shapefile contains the freshwater surface water classifications for Outstanding Resource Waters in North Carolina. This data was first uploaded on March 29, 2016 and originally pulled from BIMS in November 2014. </p><div>ORW:</div><div>All outstanding resource waters are a subset of High Quality Waters. This supplemental classification is intended to protect unique and special waters having excellent water quality and being of exceptional state or national ecological or recreational significance.
