Description: This dataset includes parcels with a landuse code of vacant in the City of Los Angeles. The data has been clipped to a rectangular area of about 500 square miles enclosing the portion of the Los Angeles River that lies within the city limits of Los Angeles. The original data has been modified by Esri in several ways:Adjacent features with common zoning codes were dissolved.A field was added describing whether or not the zoning code allows park development. These determinations were made by Esri with reference to the Planning and Zoning Code of the City of Los Angeles Department of City PlanningSome parcels were removed when comparison with aerial imagery indicated the parcel was not vacant.
