The plan can be found &lt;/font&gt;&lt;a href='https://documents.deq.utah.gov/water-quality/standards-technical-services/DWQ-2021-006579.pdf' style='color:rgb(0, 121, 193); text-decoration-line:none; font-family:inherit;' target='_blank' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'&gt;here.&lt;/a&gt;&lt;font color='#2f4f4f' style='font-family:inherit;'&gt; The primary goal of this plan was to assess the potential impact of PFAS on human health by evaluating drinking water sources. To efficiently utilize limited lab capacity and funding, public drinking water well sites were selected for sampling based on potential risk of contamination from known or suspected sources. Although no PFAS are known to be manufactured in Utah, there are industrial processes that may use PFAS in manufacturing and these potential sources were mapped in proximity to public drinking water wells to compile the first list of target sites. Subsequently, additional testing resources were offered to select water providers to sample their major surface water sources, since surface water sources are, in general, more vulnerable to contamination. The methods used to detect PFAS have much lower detection limits than the method used for the UCMR3 monitoring, in addition to monitoring for 25 PFAS.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style='margin-top:12pt; margin-bottom:12pt; font-family:&amp;quot;Avenir Next W01&amp;quot;, &amp;quot;Avenir Next W00&amp;quot;, &amp;quot;Avenir Next&amp;quot;, Avenir, &amp;quot;Helvetica Neue&amp;quot;, sans-serif; font-size:16px;'&gt;&lt;font color='#2f4f4f' style='font-family:inherit;'&gt;&lt;span style='font-family:Arial; font-size:11pt; font-variant-numeric:normal; font-variant-east-asian:normal;'&gt;In most cases, the results were below the method detection limit (MDL) or were reported as between the MDL and the method reporting limit (MRL). The MDL is the value below which a chemical cannot be detected reliably and the MRL is the level at which a chemical concentration can be determined with high confidence. If a chemical was detected between the MDL and MRL, the result is noted by a “J” next to the value.
