<suppInfo>Some errors are likely to remain and the jurisdiction should be used as the definitive source for the actual zoning of a given property. In jurisdictions that use one map for comprehensive land use plan designations and zoning designations, the plan and zoning files are the same. The DRC does not attempt to keep current domain metadata for the local jurisdiction zoning designation as part of the RLIS metadata. There are almost 1000 zoning designations in the region that are constantly changing. If you need the description of a particular zone, we recommend reviewing the jurisdiction''''s local zoning code. The ZONE_CLASS and ZONEGEN_CL fields are maintained by the DRC and are reviewed when jurisdictions create new zoning designations and in advance of updates to Metro''''s Urban Growth Report (typically every 6 years). These are classifications of the local jurisdiction zoning codes. They allow for simplified analysis across the region but have no regulatory effect. For example, the City of Portland''''s IG2 zone will have a ZONEGEN_CL generalized classification of IND (industrial) and one of the industrial ZONE_CLASS classifications. These will be very good indicators for the description of the local jurisdiction zone.</suppInfo>
