This data provides a spatial representation of the results of NatureServe's assessment of watersheds in the tropical Andes for effective conservation investment.
<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>In 2012-2013, NatureServe conducted an assessment of watersheds in the Andes-Amazon region to identify those places where investments in biodiversity conservation can yield the greatest returns. The assessment was carried out at multiple spatial scales, using nested watersheds as the assessment areas. This feature class represents the smallest spatial analysis units: Size 2 watersheds. The attribute information associated with this shapefile characterize the state of biodiversity, pressures facing biodiversity, ecosystem servics, and conservation response costs for each waterhed.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
